Specially Spooky Halloween in the QLD Starlight Express Room

You would think after our huge Halloween party in the QLD Starlight Express Room we would be all Halloweened out! Not so! This morning special effects make-up artist Vivianne Tran came to the Mater hospital to transform people into spooky, scary creatures!

Kids who came to the SER to play games and hang out were delighted to have a real special effects artist give them a unique spooky design. One boy who was planning to go trick or treating tonight was very disappointed to hear that he had to stay in hospital instead. However he cheered up immediately when Vivianne made him into his favourite monster and Captain Starlight gave him his own trick or treat goodie bag.

Wards may have to look out tonight for scary trick or treaters! Even doctors and nurses were chasing Vivianne around the hospital hoping for some special effects transformation.

Thanks to Vivianne we now have vampires, Frankenstein, spiders and skulls wandering about the Starlight Room which is just how we like it on Halloween!
